vs.
On paper, this looks like a mismatch: a 6-6 team playing a 3-9 team. But these games are not played on paper, and this 3-9 team beat a 6-5 team just last week.
The Cats have been an uneven team since Labour Day. They have won one, then lost one, then won one, then lost one. I guess this could be a good thing as it would mean they are poised to win one in this contest. But they could have won last week, but failed to put a team away at home.
The good news of the last couple of weeks is that it seems as if DeAndra' Cobb has found his groove. Aside from two costly fumbles, Cobb has played excellently against both BC and Saskatchewan. If they feed Cobb early and often it'll take the pressure off Kevin Glenn and the passing game.
The Eskimos come into this game with confidence after having dispatched the Argonauts in last week's Touchdown Atlantic game in Moncton. The Esks need to keep winning if they hope to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, and a loss here could be very damaging. Expect Edmonton to come out focused on getting the win in front of their home crowd.
These two teams will match up again in Week 15, this time at Ivor Wynne. Expect whoever loses this contest to be extra motivated next week. No one wants to lose both games in a back-to-back series.
As everyone probably already knows, if you want to listen to the game on the radio, AM900 CHML and Y108 have you covered. If, like me, you'll be watching on television, it's TSN and TSN HD for you.
